It would be presumptuous to delineate the limitations for what is considered poetry based solely on the understanding of one person, society, or historical perspective as the inherent nature of these creative works means that they are a product of the society within which they were created. map[]Among the punishments faced by citizens in a modern society, none are more severe than the death penalty. In use from Canada’s founding in 1867, till its abolition in 1976, the death penalty was exercised in the sentencing of nearly 600 persons. Having only been abolished in 1976, with an attempt to reinstate it in 1987, the death penalties use in Canada is still fresh in the minds of many Canadians. map[]Concorde was the hallmark of the modern jet era when it was first introduced in 1976. Able to fly more than twice as fast as a traditional airliner; Concorde could make the journey from London to New York in just over three hours. While this new-found speed would forever change the way the world sees air travel it was, in many ways, too good to be true. When the last Concorde was retired in 2003, prematurely bring an end to the age of supersonic commercial air travel, it symbolized the end of a era of pushing the known boundaries of flight and air travel (McWhirter). map[]Radio Frequency spectrum is one of the fundamental components necessary for the deployment of mobile telecommunication networks. This paper will discuss the development, evolution, and future plans of spectrum use relating to mobile telephony and data.
INTRODUCTION The ability to make networked voice communication interactions from a mobile device has been around, in its most fundamental form, since 1947. This technology has gone through many iteration, and advancements over the years, often necessitated be a chance in the way the technology was being used and the number of people using it. map[]The IEEE 802.11 series of standards for wireless local area network (WLAN) electronic communication and are ubiquitous throughout modern society. This paper will discuss the inception, evolution, implementation, and future of the standards from both a technical as well as regulatory point of view.
INTRODUCTION IEEE 802.11 is a series of standards that cover an implementation of WLAN in the 2.4, 3.7, 5, and 60GHz frequency bands. Theses standards were created, and are maintained by, the IEEE Local Area Network/ Metropolitan Area Network committee. map[]When Canada bought the CF-18 in 1980 the projected life of the jets indicated that they would be in service until the early 2000′s (Pugliese, 2011). To extend the life of the aircraft a modernization program was created to retrofit all of the current planes and upgrade them with the latest avionics, communication devices, and weaponry, allowing them to fly beyond 2017. At this point the Canadian Government realized that a replacement was needed for when the CF-18 would finally need to be taken out of service.
